I'm a newb, but have a good camera (Panasonic DVX100A) and have started using Pinnacles Studio 9 (cause I'm a newb!). Studio 9 seems easy enough to use for my level, but when I'm creating the video at the end... I've decided to use .wmv format, however my file sizes still seem huge after Pinnacle outputs them. Is there anyway to improve on the file size other than shortening the video or changing the 320X240 size? Do different programs do a better job of compressing in the .wmv format?
I don't have Pinnacle Studio 9, so I can't tell you what it is capable of or what settings you can use. Microsoft wants people to make video in Windows Media format so they have a free encoder for that purpose. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.aspx
