Ok, I don’t really understand a lot about burning DVDs so please,PLEASEbear with me...

I’m trying to burn multiple episodes of a tv show onto DVDs. I’ve downloaded the episodes off the computer (AVI format). In the past, I’ve burned other tv shows onto DVD using the DVD Santa. I don’t really like the DVD Santa program because it only allows me to burn 2 episodes only. I have also tried the Cheetah Burner with Cheetah DVD Video but the files are always too big and won’t fit on the DVD. I hate using up so many DVDs since they’re so expensive anyway. Ok, a whole season of a show is like, say, 20 episodes. What I’m trying to do is...keyword TRYING...to have 2 DVDs w/ 10 or so episodes on one and then the last 10 on another instead of using like 10-20 DVDs for one season. Is there a way to download the files on my computer and then burn it without having to use so many DVDs?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

you can use Divx2DVD, it's free, simple and fast. After that use DVD Shrink to compress. I had to add in IFO and BUP files with IFOEdit, but that's simple too.

P.S. kocher, after I do all that w/ the Divx2DVD, the DVD will play in my home DVD player? i mean, i won't have to convert it to a dvd format or anything?

Thanks so much for the help!

yeah it will play in ur dvd player. now just follw what squizzle says after u use divx2dvd use shrink and you can compress as much as u like to fit as many episodes as u want. i must warn u thathe quality will suffer the more compression u have.

i hate to sound so dumb but where do you go to download the Divx2DVD. i've looked for it and can't seem to find it. and it would be great if you have a guide that would help me out. Before I can understand anything I have to have step by step instructions.

I want to do the same thing so do I select all the files when converting so It will convert into like one dvd? If I do that there will be no menu to seloect which show I want to watch will it? I dont want to have to keep pressing the chapter button. Is there a way to make like a very simple menu to just show all the episodes and I can pick one?

yeah if u put the episodes on ur hd that u want to put on 1 disk, then use nero to burn. it will let u create chapters in each episode and a menu once uput the dvd in ur dvd player that shows which episode u want to watch. in nero after u add the files u want there is an option entitled "create menus" (i think, or something very similar) just go in there and you can choose a new menu and chapters for every episode.

Ok I have now just created dvd files but its about 10 gigs, and I want to split it up into 2 dvd's and compress it with dvd decryptor. SO i took half the files and put them into another folder. Now when I tr to add one folder the IFO file is telling dvd decryptor there should be 21 files instead of 10 movie files but there isnt. So how do I change the IFO to think of it being only 10? Or is there another way to put this 10 gigs on a 1-2 4.7 gig dvd-r's?

cause if u got em from the net u could burn to dvd using nero. and they will play. i have gotten some stuff from net and just added them to my nero log and then burnt them and they all play in my stand alon dvd player and comp. i dont even know what they were, maybe avi, maybe mpg? who knows, but they play. try that.
