I recently bought a 27" Syntax Olevia 16:9 TV to use with my HP MEDIA CENTER PC M7250N, the problem is that I can't find any resolution that works on my screen, I can't vertically resize the screen not with the pc options nor the TV menu (it doesn't offer this option, only horizontally) I tried using POWERSTRIP but the resolution that worked is 960 by 719 Pixels and a lot of my software only works with the 1024 by 768, now, could the problem possibly be my outdated VIDEO CARD (RADEON X300 SERIES)? Any help will be welcome but please keep it simple since I am a beginner. THANKS IN ADVANCE!
PS. The monitor native resolution is 1366 by 768 but it also doesnt work.

I have a olevia 27 inch lcd tv hooked up to my PC for the past 2 years and never had any problems. I have the pc video card (geforce fx 5200 older than your card) at 1280x1024 and it fills up the entire screen.

From what I expierence with my lcd tv is that it takes the signal from the pc, and it resizes automatically. I always turn the computer on first, then wait 1 or 2 minutes before I turn the lcd tv on. If I turn the lcd tv first, when I turn on the computer, the monitors locks on to the bios startup screen and I only get 3/4 of the tv screen filled. To fix it, I just turn off the tv, when I restart it, it locks on to the computer that now has booted completely and has a full picture.

I think your problem is on your lcd tv settings, do you have it to use the pc input?
