ok i have one xbox that has a halo limited edition case to it. but for some reason acts screwy when i mod it. now i bought a second xbox and i wanted to keep the green case so i just swaped over the mobo and power supply and i keep everything from the original halo box except the mobo and powersupply and i try to turn it on and nothing it doesnt work this is the second time i did this and its driving me crazy. but the original halo box mobo still works inside and out of the case. but the second one will not any suggestions as to why this happens?
yes i used the hd that came with the mobo even if thats the case another hd will not fry the mobo. it just wont accept it.
I'm still slightly confused! Are you just trying to change the case on the new Xbox? Are you salvaging other parts, other then the case from the Halo console? Was the non-Halo console working?
ok yes im trying to switch cases....im trying to use the screwy "working" halo case with the new xbox mobo and stuff.
If you keep the ENTIRE contents of one working Xbox and change it into the case of another, there should be no issues! If it's not working, chances are that there is a short somewhere on the case!
Have done some research into your problem, I think I found the answer! http://xbox-hq.com/html/uploads/55/0/Xbox_v1.6_Resurrection.pdf
