In need of some extreme editing software!!!

    I need the best video/audio editing software out there. I need something that can make old, worn-out looking movies look much better...or like new. Something like when you have a photo editing software and you click the auto-enhance button and your photo suddenly looks amazing. It doesn't have to have an auto-enhance button (although that would be cool and really useful) but just something that can work wonders on movie pictures. Also if there is a way i can get rid of the echo in certain [downloaded] movies and enhance the sound (easily - nothing too complicated).

    Do you want freeware or are you willing to pay? and if so, how much are you willing to pay?

    Anything...free or money. No matter how expesive. I'm not saying im gonna buy it but just to see what's out there so i can make an informed decision.

    Anything that would fit my system specs?...lol

    AMD Athlon XP 1500+
    256MB DDR SDRAM Shared
    16MB-64MB Shared Video Memory
    Windows XP with Service Pack 2

    or for free you can use avisynth. and virtualdub.
    usually people use avisynth to denoise, sharpen, IVTC.

    i think all the mention software will run on your notebook, just bear with the slowness. i think the bottleneck will be the ram. processing power is decent.
