If you are not sure it will be a good burn -- you can try it first on a RW --- that is what they made for ! Experimenting before making it on a ""use once"" media ! If you are confident you have setup everything right -- by all means use a +R -- they are the same price in stores as -R but you can get them with 8x or even 16X writing speed -- if your burner can cope with those speeds. People will recommend you burn at 4X --- but if you have the hardware ,the proper media , and the right technique you can burn at 8x with no problem.
