I'm trying to backup my Star Wars collection, I use DVDfab to rip them to VOB and then Handbrake to convert them into m4v for use in iTunes.

I'm just wondering how do I include forced subtitles (eg when Jabba speaks) and then retain them when I convert to m4v. Also will these subtitles appear automatically when I play the video or will I need to turn them on?

    Thanks

I don't know anything about Itunes, but you can select the subtitle track that contains the forced subs and check the box in Handbrake to only display the forced ones.

I've tried this now with several different movies and I still cant get them.

I've tried selecting different tracks from the drop down menu and I've tried clicking forced and burned in. If I generate a preview they appear correctly then but when I encode the whole movie they are not present.
