inconsistent burn speeds

    i have been making backups for about 18 months now no problems recently i have been getting inconsistent burn speeds i am using at the minute ritek 05 media i have a pioneer 109 burner. i have never been able to burn at 8x and now i can hardly ever burn at 6x it always goes to 4x any suggestions thanks in advance for any help

    Sounds to me like you mite need a firmware upgrade so the burner will recognise the speed you discs are. Just google you make and model number of your burner to get a firmware upgrade. But be VERY careful you flash it with the right firmware tho as you could damage the burner.
