AFAIK the OS doesn't control shared video memory. That's a function of hardware. The spec sheet says that your laptop has 512 dedicated video memory.

If it's a Vista setting, it would be In Vista, not in the BIOS.

How much main memory do you have?

i have 4 gigs of regular system memory, and 512 video memory.
i go into the display setting and under the advanced settings button it says:

Total Available graphics memory: 2303 mb
    Dedicated video memory: 512 mb
    System Video memory: 0 mb
    Shared System Memory: 1791 mb

i would like to see how to use the shared memory.

Is there a such thing as a bios for the video card?
