Hi all..Many times when i download and xvid it comes in 2 cds and the video resolution is small..my DVD player does playback divx or xvid..I have been using DVdsanta to increase the resolution even though i choose 4.3 the best it does is 16.9,that ok with me and takes around 2 hours to complete...Is there another program that will do a better job with this. Thanks to any who reply.
Two hours to process an avi movie from start to finished DVD is not out of line. When you select 4:3 or 16:9 you are telling the software the type of TV screen you have. Most North American TV sets are still 4:3 with new sets coming out in widescreen. A widescreen movie (16:9) is being adjusted by the software to fit your 4:3 screen.
Thanks guys,, i probably did not use the proper terms..what i meant was to increase the aspect ration on screen..the movie i am doing now is an xvid. 300..3 times i have done this now and every time it is out out sync by a mile. so i was wondering is there a better program for this..or do i just have a bad file. thanks i appreciated your replys.
When this AVI file (before conversion) is played back on your PC, is the sync ok? If it is in sync can you run it through this program, open the output folder and click on the 'VIDEO_TS' folder then file 'VTS_01_1.VOB' and see if it is still in sync. Note guide and program. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/vso_divxtodvd_guide.cfm Convert AVI to VOB with VSO DivX2DVD There are two boxes you can check:'Aspect and Standard'. 'Aspect' refers to your tv aspect (4:3 or 16:9) 'Standard' is NTSC or PAL (North America or Europe) http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe
