While preparing an avi file for conversion to SVCD I was using nanbud to uncompress the audio and split the file. The first half caused me problems with the audio/video interleaving which I eventually came to an acceptable setting. While the second half was perfectly in sync and required no adjustment. Just to clarify, I loaded a complete avi file and split it using exactly the same settings. The second half was in sync but the first half was was not. How can this be?

Happens a lot with VBR audio. I dont know why but nandub is usually the best program to use in that situation! Perhaps you should try some other programs like avi splitter or something, there are a lot of them around!
