Hey all..I'm pretty smart when it comes to this type of thing but I figured I'd get a second opinion this time. It seems that I have picked up the lovely "XP virus" virus..or whatever we are calling it. Tons of popups saying I'm infected and must download this software to fix it..in the past combofix has handled it no problem and it seems to have done the job this time but I have a giant white window that I can resize but not delete no matter what I do..I will post my hijack this log below and maybe you guys can help me out..any response will be greatly appreciated..write me at SMOKINJ1313@yahoo.com Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 3:10:23 PM, on 5/23/2008 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16640) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_05\bin\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuauclt.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Brian Scarbrough\Desktop\HiJackThis\HijackThis.exe R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157 R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896 R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cus.../sbcydsl/*http://www.yahoo.com/search/ie.html R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896 R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://att.yahoo.com R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/su/msgr8/*http://www.yahoo.com R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo!
