kgtrain, You’ve got a lot of Nasty Infection in that Log….. You may find that some of it is blocking cleanup programs.. First thing to do is: 1. Download Combo fix from one of these locations. * IMPORTANT !!! Place combofix.exe on your Desktop http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe http://subs.geekstogo.com/ComboFix.exe 2. Click start > run and Copy and Paste this in exactly, using the picture below for reference, then click OK. 3. Combo will begin to run DO NOTHING while this is happening. • It will kill a few processes and disconnect you from the internet. • If by chance it stops prematurely you can re-establish your internet connection by restarting your computer. • This needs to be done so the program can work most efficiently for you. Do not attempt to use the internet or anything else while it's doing its job for you. **Understand that things like your system clock changing and your desktop disappearing might happen. Do not worry, because all will be restored later. If when it's completed you can not get on the internet just reboot the computer That should clean up enough that we can do something about the rest.. Post the log from comboFix for me located in c:\comboFix.txt and a fresh HJT Log. 2oG
Sorry for late reply, busy weekend. First of all thanks for your help it is a friends computer which is having all the problems, however after downloading combofix to the desktop & trying to run it the computer freezes before any scans are run. The blue screen opens & starts killing the processes but thats as far as it gets & it needs resetting.. Any way around this?
I saw that coming Using a clean computer download and burn a rescue disk from here: http://www.free-av.com/en/products/12/av...cue_system.html Then use this guide to clean your machine: http://forum.avira.com/wbb/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=82163 If that works; go back and try the ComboFix instructions……… Let me know the outcome and we will see………. 2oG
Again sorry for late reply.. It's the 1st time iv been able to come over & have a look at the comp.. My mate managed to clean it up quite a bit I think.. I never ran combofix & now am unsure if it is still necessary so I'll post a new log and see if your able to make a determination of where to go from here.. I’ll bow out….. “Too many cooks spoil the broth.” Too many persons involved in managing an activity can ruin it. I know how to clean computers and really don’t have the time to re-analyze a log every time I receive it. When I analyze a log and send out instructions, I expect them to be followed in the order presented without running other programs that I did not ask for. I wish you and your mate all the luck in your efforts… 2oG has left the building….
Sorry bud.. i had every intention of doing what i was hold here but my mate.. Its his comp & he usually does what he wants lol! Thx 4 your help tho it has been much appreciated
