i've never modded a ps2 before, and want to learn about how the hd advance configures with the ps2, etc. i already have a compatible hard drive and a network adapter. i am wanting to install HD Advance, now i've heard of multiple ways to get it on there. 1. buy hd advance disk, put in drive and go 2. hook up hard drive to pc, install hd advance from there 3. use swap trick to use a custom burn of hd advance i would prefer to use methods 2 or 3. do i have to delete all data on the hard drive so that hd advance can partition it itself then? thanks in advance.
Yip You will lose all your data as hdloader will format your whole drive. And i reckon the best way to go is the swap method. Because if a game is not compatible with hdloader/advance you can atleast copy the game to dvd-r and play it. You can also install the mem card exploit and other stuff with swap magic, not like hdadvance where you can only play off the HDD.
