    Hello all,

I notice that the discussion on this item went dead several years ago. I purchased a Diamond Vision DVDV809-03 from Walmart a year or two ago because the GE model that I had was developing problems reading some disks, probably because of a weak laser. At the time I did not have a tv with component connectors but had no problem using the Diamond Vision with composite video connections. Now I have a home theater with a Samsung 50" Plasma and a Denon receiver. I notice that the player does not work when connected via component connectors, although there are no problems when connected by s-video. Does anyone have any idea whether or not there may be a easy fix for this issue? I have also spent a lot of time researching and searching for a code to work with the ATLAS PVR remote 5-in-one Rogers universal remote, but to no avail. Thanks in advance for any suggestions that may be upcoming on this old product.

    1. Without DVD in drive, hook up both RCA video cable and Component cables.
    2. Switch TV source to RCA video (so you can see what you are doing).
    3. Hit Setup (on remote).
    4. Browse through menus until you hit Video Output.
    5. Select CVBS+YUV and hit Enter.
    6. Scroll through to exit.
    7. Switch TV source to Component.
    8. You should now see picture, can disconnect RCA video.

Note: On my TV, when I selected YUV P-SCAN instead, it worked, but when I shut off DVD player it wouldn't come back up. Trick is to set it to CVBS+YUV so that it will come up again, then use P.Scan on remote to switch between I and P.

    Cheers,

Thanks very much. It's working now. Still don't have a code to use with Rogers Atlas Remote. Also, this player doesn't seem to support mp3 playback.
