Input directory is small enough anyways.

    If the input directory is small enough to fit on a dvd-5, therefore no compression is necessary then do you still have to encode it?

    Again no, but you can use DVD RB to get rid of any of the extras such as menus, subtitles, extra languages etc....

    I use DVD RB for all my fims regardless of what size the main movie is.
