Inserting Picture in Signature Line

Okay, I have searched the forums for info on this and have found some very good information, including a guide. I have followed the guides over and over and cannot get the link to work. I have included the link in the signature box but no picture appears. So I can burn a dvd but I can't put a picture in the signature line!! Any help would be appreciated.
