I have a custom build HP dv9000 notebook with a DVD drive in it, had it for about a year in college.

First question is, does anyone know the size of the drive, measurement-wise? I'm looking to replace it with blu-ray.

Secondly, is it even possible to swap it out for an internal blu-ray drive (I want to read as well as burn)? I'm looking for a drive that will play my DVDs as well.

I don't want to bother with the extra cords of an external, if I can help it, and I'm looking for something small, so internal seemed best.

Thanks guys, for all the help!

    Kegan

you need to go to HP to find out if a Blu Ray burner will fit in your notebook I may be wrong but i do not think you will find one for your notebook

    Didn't think so lol

I'm just gonna wait though, I've already got a PS3, I can wait for a laptop upgrade.

    Thanks though =)
