I notice in device manager under cd rom/dvd, new drive added - ELBY DVD-ROM SCSI CD ROM DEVICE - Can anyone explain how it got there and if it should be deleted or disabled.
Well Elby are the people who make CloneCD and Region Killer (www.elby.de) so it might be to do with either of these two packages. Might as well try uninstalling it from device manager. If it is a proper drive it will be picked up and reinstalled when windows reboots. If its not, then you might just have to reinstall whichever program is associated with it. Doubt it would be a big problem.
