I have recently installed a Philips CDr-RW on my Compaq Prosignia Server 720. I have windows 2K installed as the O/S Windows Does see the CD Rom. But when I put a disc in it asks me to do I want to format this drive. The disc does spin for a moment and then it stops. None of the discs I have inserted can be seen / explored. I have updated this with the newest version of ASPI.This drive only uses the generic drivers from Windows. Any help would would stop me from pulling my hair out. Thanks in Advance
No yellow explamation point on the Phillips CDRW in Device Manger? Try burning to a cd-r as a test m8. Are you using the latest firmware for your Phillips cdrw? Shoey
