hey, is it possible to install xbox media center on my laptop? i dont want to buy windows media center 2005. because if you can that would be cool. like can i make it my os? thank you
Not that i have ever heard, then again there are plenty of free media players out there like VLC and Winamp. Between those you can pretty much play movies and music in any standard file format.
you CAN install xbmc on your pc/laptop but its not very functional. its only for testing purposes and development.
Like i said, why bother when they already have so many free media players for PC that do everything that XBMC does. XBMC is not called Xbox Media Center for nothing.
xbmc has the advantage to play files directly from rar archives and even image files inside rar archives, and ofcourse stream it over the network
