I installed a mod chip for my xbox (Xenium SPice, a solderless chip*). It seemed to all work so i put my xbox back together and when i go to start it up the LED light for the drive open flashes orange and only orange. Many sites tell me my motherboard is damaged. Can anyone help tell me what my problem is and if there is a solution, what is it? Also, when i remove the mod chip and try to start the xbox normally the xbox reboots three times and then the LED flashes red/green. PLEASE HELP ME!

Depending on how you have your 'Chip' seated. (i.e. Solder or Solderless), you didn't really state that.. It sounds to me like your Chip is not hitting the 'D0' Point, on the XBOX™ Mainboard. Unfortuntly this 'D0' Point has a rather nasty habit of wandering it's way around the TSOP. Given on how new your XBOX™ is. You could either have a XBOX™ v1.5 or v1.6a or b version in the case of the latter you will have to have a specific Adapter that can reach the current location of this point from the LPC Port.

Most of the current 'Chips' X3, Xenium, SmartXX should come with such Adapters for those with a XBOX™ 1.6a/b...
