installed Windows Vista and no longer have sound....

how can i fix this?

 

Does the motherboard have audio built in and are there drivers that have to be installed?

 

I'm no expert at all but I did have this same problem when I went to Vista. I finally fixed it though.

If you haven't already done this go to Contro Panel>Sound> click on Advanced and hit Test to see if you hear a sound.

I was using older speakers and I was told to buy powered speakers which I did and they work great.

Why there is no sound on Vista is beyond me but a lot on Vista is beyond me!
