    Hi,
I've tried yesterday to install a Eurovox box for a pal.
I'm green to this whole area.
We could not get anything to display on the tv screen i.e. no menu.
It's a chorus system, I plugged the cable from the chorus Ariel into the RF IN connection, connected a scart cable between the tv and the tv scart connection on the box and powered the box up.
We tried every tv channel and Ext channels, I removed the VCR etc. from the system so that it was a basic connection with a scart cable.
We spent over an hour trying different cables in case there was a problem with any and tried tuning in on a tv channel but to no avail.
We saw in the instruction book that a 'smart card' is to be installed into the card slot, what card is this? Is it required to view the channels?
    Many Thanks

Then you need a Eurovox TX, (or any other T type device), as a Eurovox Max wont work is that what you have?

I have the instruction booklet in front of me.
    It is a 'EURO-VOX Max V'.
What is a TX or T type device?

Max V is a cable box you need a DVB T type STB or device,as that ia the variant Ch**us MMDS use. Google Eurovox TX or the Box T as an example.

    Thanks.
So basically I was sold the incorrect box.
I will have to return/change it.
Many thanks for clarifying this for me.
