ok i wanted to know basically i know you can do this with windows and linux, but is this possible with windows to windows, because i dont want to re-format my hard drive again since the last time i re-formatted was a couple of weeks ago. please wb asap.
You can install the free virtualbox in windows. Once installed you can load any operating system you want windows/linux into the virtualbox. It's a good way test programs etc in the virtual operating system, you can even surf the internet from the virtual OS.
i know about virtual machines etc cause i was using VMware workstation, but i was wondering whether you could install a OS while on the OS onto the second partiton of the hard drive?
i dont know if you can while the computer is running i belive you need to boot from the second partition and do a standard install but hey im sure if you google it you might be able to find somthing.
ive tried googling it but havent had any results so far thats why i created this post lol. ill keep on looking and if i find the results ill make a tutorial or something
The Answer is no you cant install an operating system like windows wile in windows to another partition
Create a partition or add a new drive. When in the installation process, it will ask you where to install. Install it there.
that wasnt what i was asking lol, but thanks anyway i know how to do that. well yesterday i was reading about converting a VM to a PM. is it possible with normal pc's and is it easy to do?
