Currently have one feed from virgin media coming into my house with one Eurovox box.

However I would like to install another 2 boxes around the house. Is it a simple matter of me buying 2 splitters, extra coax and 2 new boxes? Or would it be better if I got virgin media to come out and install 2 extra feeds into the house?

Anyone got a site/links with the specific material I would need to buy to install it?

Why would you want anyone from the cable company coming into your house LOL you will be paying extra right away!! do it your self, get adecent booster put it in the attic a 2 or 3 way one and plug the coax cable into it, then down to were ever you need them and your sorted, there is no need for splitters( this only weakens the signal)

    thanks

Also had a wee look for coax cable but it seems they only really do 10 -15 m lengths, would it be a problem using a few of these lengths in 'one run' by connecting them end on end or would it severly weaken the signal?

Dont do that just go to your nearest electrical wholesaler and buy the right lenght of cable. Just ask for CT100.

Apologies for these tedious questions but I'm a little unsure and need advice

Would this cable do instead of CT100?

Also would this the correct type of amplifier required? or could you recommend one from that site?

Any if possible the required fittings I would need from here - (http://www.screwfix.com/cats/A331871/Electrical/TV-Range/Leads-Connectors)

Well Des - my mentor lol

Bought all the equipment and wired everything up. Only 1 problem now I cant get some channels.

The channels are showing but blank screen with a message saying no signal for that particular channel. I assume the signal isnt strong enough?
I thought perhaps the extension was too long so shortened a cable to just 500mm and put it between the box and the amplifier/splitter but still the same channels are missing. I also took away the other feeds so had the main feed going into the amplifier/splitter and then just the 1 output with just the 500mm length to try and enhance it for test purposes. I also tried installing the channels from both the main feed and then the split feed its receiving - (both installations found the channels but when selecting to watch certain channels I got the 'no signal' message when using the split feed but was able to watch when I reverted to the main feed).

Can you think of any other solutions or is this a common problem when using the amplifier/splitter?

    Ok 13 days later LOL

The Main feed i am talking about is the one that comes from outside your house, generally to the attic and down behind the walls to a box in the corner of the room, Are you with me so far? if this is the case, I suggest what you do is go back to the attic and cut the main wire, put a coax plug on it put that into your TURNED ON booster/ splitter, then the other part of the cable put a coax plug on it and this should work to the main room, with the remaining cable you bought put a coax cable on one end, run the cable to werever your other tv is cut the cable and again put on a coax plug and plug that into the Eurovox and a scart lead to the tv and this should be you, Repeat this for any other tv,s you want..Meantime if your still missing channels do a factory reset on the box and rescan on auto and you should be sorted, Try this and see how you get on... any problems get back on here before September as we are going on holiday LOL

Yes cheers, seems to working fine now

Only problem is that on the split feed I don't get as many channels as from the main feed. Installed each box from the main feed to find as many channels as possible, but when I setup with each box off the amplifier/splitter all the channels on 4 of the tps say 'no signal'. I assume the signal isn't strongh from those tps once the signal is split. Don't suppose you know of a remedy to further enhance the signal or any other solution to regain the lost channels?
