I recently bought CnC: The First Decade. On the computer I want to install the games on, the CD-ROM drive got busted and no longer reads any discs. I was wondering if there was a way if I could use my laptop to install the game onto my desktop? If it helps, I have a wireless router and both the computer have wireless cards and the laptop has a direct hookup.

if you networked them together, i believe you can share optical drives just as you can share network drives, printers, and so on, but i'm not sure how. this is only a theory, as i'm not experienced with networking.

for literally only a few dollars, you can get a new cd-rom online or in a computer store. and this would be much more effective. why not do that?

Thanks for the responses. I just went on Amazon.com and found a cheap one for $20, so there is my solution.
