I was wondering if there is a way to do it by not connecting the HDD to your computer, is it possible..........I mean i can do it ....I just don't like opening up my PC

And what is the difference of creating a HDD with XboxHDM than installing it.....Then use slayers disk to load it

Read the link i posted, you do not have to connect it to the PC at all, so i am not sure what your asking.
You just install it, then use Slayer 2.6 to format it and then to install EvoX and all other apps, roms, emulators and so on.]

That is if the Xbox is modded. I had a chip so i do not know if the process is different for a softmodded system.

Hey steimy, just a quick question, first of all do you have an upgraded harddrive, second of all, if you do have one can you still go on live?

yes, as per my sig i have a 300GB Western Digital HDD in mine.
I did not have to connect it to the PC at all. I installed it with the above tutorial i linked, then used Slayer 2.6 to format it, and install EvoX, and install all the apps, roms, dashboards, emulators and such onto the new HDD.

With a new HDD i was told that if you have a current Live account and mod your system with a bigger HDD it will detect it and ban you.

There are other alternatives, Xlink Kain and XBConnect are free online gaming services and can be used with any game that has the system link option under the game's multiplayer options, like Halo2, Farcry Instincts and others.
