I was comparing drives on ebay, and got side tracked, and ended up buying a sata drive. Not sure if it is needed for the question, but the specs on it are: Western Digital Caviar RE, WD2500, 250GB, Serial ATA, 7200rpm, 8mb buffer. Anyways I was wondering if there is anyway that this will go in original xbox? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks Mike.

the i don't know part was right..........why answer with an uneducated response like that?? Western Digitals most often have both a SATA and Molex power connection, you need a SATA to IDE converter board, you can get them for about 20 bucks but you run into problems with the space required to put it in your box, there isn't much room in there for the converter.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I wasn't sure if the converter would be compatible with the xbox (don't see no reasone why not same connections, just wasn't positive). I will get one and try my luck.
