    greetings to all...

after installing this particular lite version of XP PRO i tried installing the modem driver but it fails to register a key in the registry and thus it fails and errors the install....

i tried a full XP install thinking that maybe it misses some files needed by windows to register and install it the right way(this registers the key perfectly) but it doesn't create the network icon connection nor the shortcut on the desktop...

    ??? any replys are apreciated

btw this site is a kick ass, keep up the good work

First Right click MY Computer and select properties. Under the hardware tab select device manager. Under modems see if it is listed. If it has a "?" mark beside it then the driver was not installed properly. If you have internet access try to let windows update the driver.

If the driver is installed then before the device may be used you will have to tell the computer what to do.

For example: (If you are using the modem for an Internet connection)

Go to the Control Panel and select "set up or change your internet connection"

The rest is pretty straight forward. Just follow the instructions.
