I INSTALLED TWO MENOREX 16X INTERNAL DL DVD+RW/CD-RW DRIVES. THE L DRIVE IS THE MASTER THE F DRIVE IS THE SLAVE THE PROBLEM IS THE L DRIVE BURNS SLOW DVDSHIRNK WHEN FINISHED DVD DECRYPTER COMES UP AND THE F DRIVE DOES'NT BUFFER HOW CAN I FIX
Hey, Fairbanx, maybe you can get some help with a more carefully worded message. Not sure what your problem is, even though I read it several times. Also, lose the ALL CAPS and use a little punctuation. As far as two burners, should be a problem how you set it up (although your drive letter assignment is a bit unusual). Having said that, it's my personal opinion that Memorex anything is none too good when it comes to opticals (DVD burners/players/or media).
hey, sorry didnt know school was in. but the problem is the master drive will not buffer when it's writing to dvd decrypter. the slave drive write's fine, but takes a long time to read using shrink but, the master reads fine need help.
are the dma enabled in the device manager either in the rom drive properties or the primary & secondary ide controllers properties??
yea, the device manager drives are all dma, the problem now is the master drive works slower than the slave dont know.
Quote; " sorry didnt know school was in" We like to use basic grammar & punctuation here. It makes it much easier to read & subsequently help. Politeness helps too. Pulsar
Bottom line is that you have some program running that is interfering with the master drive. try cutting your connection to the internet and shutting down your virus protetor, then running a nice spam/spyware program. Turn off all non essential stuff, kill roxio (if you have it) and ctrl/alt/delete to kill any itunes stuff you have running under "processes". If that doesn't work, you could try a reboot with selective startup to see what's going on. If you cannot figure it out, you have three options. You could decide the drive is bad and exchange it for a new one (possisble, if unlikely), reinstall windows (likely to work, but not 100%), or live with it. Others might be able to help you more.
