    Hello.

My problem is that my cpu "overheats" very easily.
I tried to do a stress test with prime 95, and the temperature went from 30-35 to 85 in
    about 10-20 seconds.

but when i play games it only goes up to 60c.
    What can cause this overheating?

    Specs:

    Asus P8P67 -m pro
    Intel core i5 2500k @ 3,30
    G.skill 1600mhz 8gb
    Ati XFX 5850
    Windows 7 - 64bit

    yes it is properly installed.
Now i noticed that all programs are showing different temperatures.
Asus own program show in idle 26-35c
Core temp shows in idle 39-46c
    speedfan shows in idle 93c

And i was wondering when i statt Prime 95 the heat rises in a few seconds to 85c
according to asus program. and when i shut prime 95 down, it takes about 5 seconds to go back to normal(=30c). is it really possible that something heats that fast up and cools it?
