I've got an intel p4 n/w 3.2 cpu. With a little help, it's going to be o/c'd. What would be the limit to this cpu? 15%=3.68GHz/20%=3.84GHz for eg. All experiences/opinions appreciated. Cheers.
i would go for 3.8ghz (make sure u lower the ram so when u oc the fsb it balance up) if it runs stable for 24h then i try 4ghz if it runs stable and less than 55c then leave it there
Elokito Thanks for the reply, That info sounds good to me, thats if i don't fry something along the way. I'll take it slow and steady. When you say run for 24hrs etc, do you mean under a heavy work load? For eg: run sandra lite (burn in comp)or perhaps you can reccomend something else. Also, the temp range(55c), is this with air cooling or water cooling? Thanks again Cheers.
with air cooling 55c would b the max under heavy load, some say 60c but that would shorten the processors life more
