Hey all! At the moment I am interested in getting an iPod (touch). I have never really been an Apple man, being a keen advocate of the PC over the Mac was well as flashing my MP3 player when every brought out their iPods. However lately I have been drawn into the iPod and am looking to test one out for myself. At the moment I am tossing up between the iPod touch 16gb and 8gb. The main question I have is what is the difference between the different generations? I (think) there are currently two generations out at the moment and the first is considerably cheaper than the second. What are each like? What will I be getting if I buy a 2nd over a 1st gen? Is the increase in price worth it? I was also looking for someone to tell me of any (additional) costs that come with an iPod. How hard is to get apps myself w/o spending money? (FYI; I am a keen cracker and DLer ). Note though, that I have no trouble with getting music so this is no concern of mine. The final thing I wanted to ask was how good is the service from Apple? Because I've heard that it is (on average) simply awful. What have your experiences been with them? Any help that anyone can give me will be much appreciated!!
Anyone have any ideas? Also, with Christmas fast approaching, will it best if I hang back and wait a little while as I have a feeling the Apple will release some kind of new version of the touch for Christmas sales. As I said however, I'm not really an Apple fan and so I wouldn't know sqaut XD
