    Hello,
I have been beating my head for months since I purchased a Pinnacle PVR converter. I want to turn my home movies into DVD format for my parents. Here is what I have

    container: mp4

    video:
    codec: h264 avc
    Resolution: 720 x 480 interlaced (480i)
    fps: 29.97

    Audio: aac 128 kbs @ 48000 Hz

I need to convert and author these videos to dvds (NTSC). I highly prefer open source software, or freeware. Linux tools and command line stuff would be acceptable too.

I tried a coulple of months ago to do this following the basic dvd authoring guide on afterdawn found here:

    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/basic_dvd_project_part_i.cfm

However the guide is incomplete. If someone knows where the rest of that guide can be found or has it in pdf let me know because I enjoyed the technical level and explanations as to why they chose the steps given.

Thank you for reading this, your help is greatly appreciated. I can give you more information, if needed, on the videos or the recorder.

    Thanks,
    Nick
