Hi all. I've been trying to burn ISO's to dvd and I had a 4 gig one burn fine today, but then I tried burning a 2 gig one and I had a burn process failed error from nero. I'm using datawrite titanium DVD+R's 8 speed and there's definately no problem with the discs, I'm just unsure if it's just being tempremental with some ISO's or if the drive is actually on it's way out. It shouldn't be because I only built my PC about 2 years ago. Below is the error report from Nero and if any of you could lend me some advice it would be very appreciated, as if the drive is dodgy, I'll know to buy a new one instead of wasting discs. Hi jwelsh Your getting a Power calibration error So 1st thing to check out is the media and firmware. Your drive can use a firmware update to help it w/ the read & write strategies of media. Right drive your drive only sees that the disc as this - Media type: DVD+R . The latest firmware is 2.1A. http://support.necam.com/Optical/downloads/FlashFirmware/ Titanium uses different manufacturers - the ones you have looks like MCC (great) or Prodics (okay). Hopefully you got the MCC ones. Thanks a lot for the help, I have just flashed the firmwire, run the roxio zap tool, run the nero clean tool and installed my previous version of Nero 5.5.10.53 which was supplied with the drive. I have just burned the image which was troublesome and it burned successfully at 8 speed, so hopefully all is now ok. thanks again for the help!
