Internal and External DL burner recommendations?

    Can anyone give any good recommendations on inexpensive and solid performer external and internal dvd rw burners? I've had a Pioneer and Sony thus far, and have been somewhat dissatisfied. I've heard that the new Pioneers die after a few weeks on people and they're returning them. Can anyone give any good recommendations? Thanks for any input.

    I have an internal Pio 215D and haven't had any problems after 9 months of heavy usage. I can also recommend NEC/Optiarc 7200 series...one of the best drives around right now.

    I have an LH-20A1H(lite-on), and a 7200a optiarc, and a SonyDRU840. ALL have been solid performers. Though I must admit, something about the 7200 beckons me everytime. Its burn quality has been the BEST to date. Im looking into the 7220 right now. Because the iHAP422 just *&^%%^&* out on me. :(
