Hi guys, Im thinking about buying an extra internal hard disk, to help store my home made videos footage (no, not those type !)

Will only certain types of hard disk fit my Patriot pc ? (apologies Im just at work, so cant confirm model).

It seems external drives are almost as cheap as internal, but I guess internal is better for not clogging up your desk space ?!

Also wonder if anybody recommends any type of Internal disk ? Im looking at about a 250gig one.

    Thanks in advance.

physical size, all internal drives are the same. have to determine whether your motherboard has either ide or sata interface connectors for hard drives as 1 is not pin compatible with the other.

Seagate, WD or Samsung really. I tend to recommend WD drives over other brands.

Cheers sammoris. On reflection I'm going to go for a 400mb drive , as will need it in the future. As I tend o save my .avi files as well as the final .mpg files.
Does the 8mb or 16mb cache really make much difference ?

The 16MB Cache drives are slightly faster, but it doesn't make a huge difference with older IDE drives.
