I have an internal 120 gig maxtor hdd. I just bought a hdd enclosure and i put it in. It will let me install the device but it will not show up in 'my computer'. I have tried different jumper settings and none will work. I look under device manager and it says USB mass storage device working properly. How do i get this to work!

This may only be a short term fix, but right-click "my computer", select manage. Dbl-click disk management and look for the drive. Right click and select open to access your drive. I'm assuming you had previously installed the drive internally which may result now in conflicting drive letters? Backing up the drive to cd-dvd and then reformatting the disc may fix the problem. Hope this helps.
