Internet Connection Sharing Tutorial

    i have seen a lot of people asking how to do this so here is the tutorial......

    if your running xp this is how it should look

    Step 1
    Go to Control Panel on the Start Menu

    Click Network and Internet Connections

    Step 3
    Click Network Connections

    Step 4
    Locate Your Main Internet Connection And Cross-Over Cable Connection

    Step 5
    Right Click Your Main Internet Connection And Then Click Properties

    Step 6
    Click the Advanced Tab then Check The Share This Internet Connection Box

    Nice...but this needs some firewall instructions too.. :)

    Most people will use default settings on the xbox and be static IP, Big security hole! Better to use 2 NIC's

    If they just set-up a network using the network set-up wizard it should work fine no big hole's there.....

    Yeah...just worried that the wizard has some strange habits with the firewall..turns mine off now and again, I double check it now when I boot up because I just totally killed auto updates..no SP3 for me...

    i run my norton firewall and have my windows firewall off....but i dont suggest that for everybody if you have any questions or problems just put it in this thread......
