Internet explorer 7.0 Slow or not?

Is it true that IE 7.0 slows down your internet access?? Anyone got any experiences to share.
I downloaded IE 7.0 and I am pretty sure my surfing has slowed down quite a bit but not sure if 7.0 is the cause.

 

I will agree with you. IE7 is more secure but it is very slow loading. I only have it on my machine for Microsoft updates, because they don't seem to like Firefox.

Try the IE Tab Extension. Works great for Windows Updates and other sites that require ActiveX controls.

@HelpPleas, I don't know about slowing down internet access, but IE 7 is slower than IE 6 when it comes to opening. But I suppose it has to be since they had to add so many patches to make it safer. Doesn't bother me though, I never use IE. Just too many hijackers and other threats for me.

mine was running slow also (IE 7) till i got an update from my virse scan program (Trend Micro) and "Spysweeper" now its fast as ever
