    Have you got Antivirus and Antispyware software intalled on your computer? Make sure they are upto date and do a full scan... If not you could try Firefox browser... If the problem still happens then you could try a repair with your windows CD...

    Alatony, IE sucks, that's why i don't use it anymore. Download firefox it's more secure, less bugs, loads alot faster. But if you're dead set on getting your IE backup and running try upgrading to the newer IE browser. The latest version out now is IE 6 with service pack1. You can also try doing a windows update. Microsoft have a lotta fixes for IE, patches upon patches. LoL. Let me know if these suggestions do not work. I have a few other solutions that might work.

    ANTHONY, when IE gives you that error that it has encounterd a problem and needs to close, does the message box have a link that says "click here" or something like that to view technical information about this problem? If so, please copy and paste the technical information it give you and i'll know how to help.

    Anthony, try this like from microsoft

    http://support.microsoft.com/search...as+encountered+a+problem+and+needs+to+close++

    It has several solutions to that problem, you should know which one applies to your problem. The third link from the top seems like a possible solution to your problem. It's a windows hotfix. Just copy the hotfix update# and go to technet and find the update and apply it to see if it works. I've very interested to know which would work for your present problem. Let me know if it work or if you need further help.
