Alright, I have this problem with my DSL modem where it shuts off after I download X amount of data. But the thing is, this never happened before up until about, I would say, a month or two ago. I'll be in the middle of a download where my internet/modem will just shut off completely and nothing else will bring it back on but restarting my computer seems to do the trick. I have to restart my computer just for the internet to come back on and I don't know what the problem is, hopefully you guys can help me please . Thanks.
Can you try reseting your modem/router, clear all settings theres usually a small hole with a button you can reset it by inserting a pin or something. Delete the internet connection on your pc, create a new one and configure your modem/router, see if that helps.
I did what you said and today I just downloaded 1+ gigs without my internet disconnecting, so hopefully it worked .. thanks!
