why is my primary pc have a connection of 100MBPS and my pc in other room wireless connection is only 11MBPS?
you probably have a wireless-b card in your comp in the other room. the primary pc probably is connected thru ethernet so u get a 100mbps connection. wireless b allows for a maximum of 11megabits/second or 1.375megabytes/s (11/8). if you want better speeds, upgrade to a wireless g network adapter with speed booster which can go up to 108mbps , but usually stays a bit lower.
FYI, as far as the title of this thread, none of this will affect internet speed. Typical internet speeds range from 1.5 Mbps to 6.0 Mbps, some even as high as 10 Mbps. But this is well within even a measly 11 Mbps connection's capabilities. Bumping the connection up to 108 Mbps wireless or 100 wired Mbps ethernet will only affect LAN speeds, and even then you really don't quite get the stated transfer speeds. The main advantage of a wireless-G is better security.
