Intervideo is compressing my movie to much it produces a 3.76 gig movie. I heard that theres alote of problems with this program just wish I could get it to rip a full disk instead of it compressing it so much. thanks

Did you update to the latest version, also did you set it up for the correct length when autohring the movie?
If you none of this works try using pinnacle, its a better program just doesent accept all the various file imputs windvd does.
    Good luck
Edit: Are you trying to compress an already produced movie? If so try DvdShrink.

I have the latest version just downloaded it. And it does it with prtected movies and also unprotected. I think it has something to do with the program not reading the disk info correctly something wrong with the engine or something. It does not correct the disk size when you remove audio it stays the same. I now it should shrink the size of the movie but it does'nt. also it takes realy long to rip the movie I was hearing it takes around 16 min too do a good size movie when I do it it takes like 40 min and it compresses the movie to 3.76. Maybe the program only works on certain computers I dont know. I have anydvd maybe theres a conflict.

Oh this is an already produced dvd movie. SO then why not use dvd shrink?

IV often updates their software but doesn't tell a soul. Now I have several versions of DVDCopy 4 and none of them have the same check sum. Also when you install them you get different versions.

What version are you using? You may want to revert back to an older version.

Tried to revert to 3 and tried to reinstall 4 still the same problem. It will take a lets say 100mb and when its through with it its 90mb. The larger the size the smaller the output. My movies keep coming up as 3.76 gigs.

Can you use the slider to decrease the compression rate?

there is no compression slide its suppose to compress to fit a 4.7 instead it makes it 3.76. It also does not reduce size of movie when you remove audio like DTS which I know should take like 500mb off the disk size.

    Strange.

What version are you using and what versions do you have available?

    Mine doesn't do it.

You could try to get a different version from InterVideo If they can't help you I could send you a different version (there are about four or five different version of IV DVDCopy 4 already)

You know when I downloaded the newest version and loaded it it does this. It doesn't do this with the one before it.

I will be going back a couple of versions!

@h2ouup2. you are a rare creature my friend, i have not seen one of you in a lomg time. oh! yes, let me explain "rare creature", one for which intervideo copy(any version) actually works. this software has given the 99% of those who have it nothing but errors, headaches, waste of time and money. why is it that although many people have it, it is hardly mention on this or any other forum? and when it is mention, it is to post a problem. lucky you are sir.

ps: sorry, i just can't pass a opportunity to crap on this program.

    I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
free advise for those who are even thinking about buying this intercrap oh! sorry, intervideo software. forget it. send your money to Donal Trump.

Actually I use CloneDVD 2 and AnyDVD now. I still have InterVideo and use if for things like iPod etc.

It takes a lot of work to get it to work right, and tech support is non existence. When it does work, it works very good...but!

If I had it to do over I would save my $$. CloneDVD 2 (with AnyDVD) does what I want every time.

I don't recommend anyone buying it, however if someone already owns DVDCopy 4 it's worth a try to get it running correctly. Like I said I have five different versions of DVDCopy 4. Only one works correctly, and it's not the most current.

I would like to see an independent study (not these web sites that has "their" top 10 and obviously get paid for their recommendations) of ALL DVD copy software with all the latest updates.
