I recently purchased this sodtware. I have captured still pictures and added audio file. When I go to "make a Movie" and initiate burn process it gets thru only 72% and gives a message "Burn Process cannot be completed".
Can anyone help me on this problem? Thanks

    1. might be your burn speed? (burn at 6x to 8x max)

    2. poor quality media? (use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or Sony only!)

    3. the most up to date firmware for your drive/burner is important

    4. could be a corrupt file

thanks for ideas to fix burn problem. I'll try a Sony DVD. Does it matter if I use a + or a -, R or RW? I've been using a -R DVD.

    -R's are pretty widely accepted.

If you're going to use +R's you'll want to booktype to DVD-ROM for the best compatibility.

You should be fine with -R's though.

Thanks to both. I tried Sony DVD, also reloaded program, neither solved problem. I went online to Corel's website...what a waste. They have hundreds of standard questions with answers, but no way to contact them.
    I am at a loss.

Silly question, but did they offer a trial period before the purchase option? I've never used this particular software.

Yes, they did offer a 7 day trial period but unfortunately I didn't use it. Another couple had used this to make DVD's of their still images with sound & titles and that impressed me. Unfortunately, they explained what they did, step-by-step and I couldn't see any difference from what I was doing.

Have you successfully burned dvd's with that drive before? Give us more details on the burner itself.

Yes, I have burned CD's (not DVD's) on the burner before using "copy & Burn DVD" software already installed.
The burner is a Sony DVD RW AW- Q170A. I am using TDK DVD-R 1-16X 4.7GB DVD's. I have spoken with another InterVideo user and went over step-by-step on burn process. Seems we are both doing same thing but she was able to burn DVD.
