Invalid Boot Diskette..help?

    first of all i would like to apologize if this is in the wrong forum section.

    on my computer when i boot up i get the message: invalid boot diskette insert BOOT diskette in A: i changed my bios so that the computer can boot up from the CD. my OS is a windows ME. can someone help me? help would greatly appreciated.. .Thanks!

    does the bios see the hard drive?
