Invalid Disc Error

I have an Audiovox Home Theater System (one of the cheapies from Target) that suddenly will not spin the disks or reads "invalid disc" every time we attempt to play a DVD. Doesn't matter what kind of DVD, we've tried ones that were copied, ones that we rented, ones that we purchased. Any ideas on what might be wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

 Have you tried a CD?

 You could try using a CD/DVD lens cleaner (they're pretty cheap)

 

return it and buy a better brand..... sounds like the unit is faulty.
