I'm using a new LG DVD Writer and I've tried three different new Philips DVD-Rs that came from a pack that was working with the writer (I've burned about 10 DVDs from the pack using the writer) right before I had to reformat my computer and reinstall Windows XP SP2. Now, I get either tha Field-In or the PMA error whenever I try to write. No idea what the problem is all of a sudden.

Here's my newest log; I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

Try updating your firmware for your burner, current is JL11

    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2238

Also, your choice of media is not good, CMC Mag is not consistent media. Try something better such as Verbatim, Fuji or Sony. Alot of times PMA update failures are media related.

You have Roxio on your system, Nero and Roxio don't play well together, try uninstalling it and then use Roxio Zap to clean it all out.

    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

Also try burning a disk at 4x to see if this works out and then move up to the 8x.
