DMA needs to be on, heres a guide to turn back on http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 You have a lot of memory in use , dont multitask while burning. It is recommended to have a minimum of 512mb RAM for successfull burning, I would recommend adding more Burning way too slow for CDs...32X and only 4X for DVDs.
Yeah,old machine I have been using it for awhile now with no problems at 4X.....how would the dma be turned off can that just happen or does it have to be done manually? Thanks for your quick reply btw
an update on your firmware would be nice for your very old machine.... 2002 is the last firmware update on your burner: 3.0d! it's a dinosaur!
